Here are the answers to all your frequently asked questions about Santhe Apps

For Customers

Santhe customer app provides an easy-to-use interface to create and manage your shopping lists and when you are ready to buy the items in your list you can simply “Send” your list to shops in your vicinity. Within a couple of hours, you would receive qualified offers/bids from the shops for your entire shopping basket/list. Once you accept one of the offers/bids, we connect you with the merchant to get your products. Santhe Customer app allows you to get the best prices while supporting your local economy.

Yes. Santhe is absolutely FREE to use for everyone. As of now we do not ask our customers or merchants to pay a fee to use our apps.

As of now, you can add any grocery item you would need to your shopping list. You can either add items from our pre-curated product catalogue or add your own custom item if something you want to buy is not available in our product catalogue.  

We believe that you as a customer are very well aware of the brands you usually buy and are used to. You can always mention your brand preferences for the items when you add them to your shopping list on the Santhe app. 

No. As of now, we do not have the payments feature enabled in the Santhe Apps. We would potentially introduce such features in future. However, once you accept an offer; we will connect you with the merchant, so that you can discuss the payment and product delivery options with the merchant over a phone call or via chat feature in the app.

In most cases merchants would deliver your products to your home, but in some case cases you might have to pick them up yourself. However, before you accept an offer, you can choose to accept offer from only those merchants who do home delivery as this information will be made available with the merchants’ offer.  

If you are looking to add an item to your shopping list that do not show up in our product catalogue, then you can add a custom item. All you will have to do is add a name, define quantity, units and add additional notes, if any, to your custom item. You can even add a picture of the custom item by using your phone’s camera feature or by uploading a picture from your gallery. 

If you are not seeing offers for your shopping lists, then it’s probably because we might not have enough registered merchants in your area. We are working hard to expand our operations and register as many relevant merchants as possible. As and when we have more merchants onboarded you would see that there are many offers made against your shopping list when you send them to the shops. However, sometimes no offers from merchants would also mean that the merchants in your area are not able to service most of the products you would have added to your shopping list. 

Our app’s focus is on supporting the local economy by connecting local customers with local merchants and vendors. Hence it is important that you send your shopping lists to the local merchants and give them an opportunity to bid on your list. Moreover, we believe that three lists are more than enough for you to plan your grocery purchase. Also, please be advised that once you send a list to the shops, you would be able to create a new one and start planning your next grocery purchase.   

You can find the lists that you have sent to shops under the “Sent” tab in your home screen. However, for the sake of ease of access, we achieve the lists older than 3 days since they were sent to the shops under the “Achieved” tab. Unless you delete your list, any list you create would be available on the app in one of the three tabs depending on the status and age of that list. 

You can easily delete a list by just left dragging on the list tile and choosing the appropriate menu option. Please be aware that you will not be able to delete a list that is in the “Sent” tab as they are already sent to the shops/merchants and are awaiting response or have an active offer/bid on them. However, you can delete any list that appears under the “New” and “Archived” tabs.

For Merchants

Santhe Merchant app provides an easy-to-use interface to create and manage your merchant profile on our platform to be able to view and respond to incoming shopping list requests from customers. Once customers send their shopping list to shops, you would receive a notification on your phone about an incoming shopping list request. You can open the shopping list request to see the details of the items in the list and make your best price offer by entering prices to each item. When you done with working through the list, you can send your offer to that list.  If the customer accepts your offer, we will notify you with the details of the customer, so that you both can connect with each other via phone or chat to discuss payment and product delivery. 

No. As of now, we do not have the payments feature enabled in the Santhe Apps. We would potentially introduce such features in future. However, once a customer accepts your offer, we will connect you with the customer, so that you can discuss the payment and product delivery options over a phone call or via chat feature in the app.

No. Although, we suggest that you do home delivery when possible. You can indicate the home delivery option in your profile and when you make an offer/bid, you can also indicate if you would do home delivery or not.

If you are not seeing any incoming shopping lists sent by customers, then it’s probably because we might not have enough registered customers in your area. We are working hard to expand our operations and register as many customers as possible. As and when we have more customers onboarded you would see that there are many shopping list requests sent to you. 

You can find the older shopping lists requests and offers/bids that you have made under the “Answered” tab in your home screen. However, for ease of access, we achieve the lists older than 3 days under the “Achieved” tab. Any shopping list requests that were sent to you, but were not answered by you will also be available in the “Achieved” tab.
